The social awareness program of the students at Dhaka University has ended with responses from all over the country. Students conducted awareness programs against drugs, child marriage, terrorism, and militancy in their respective areas across the country.
Under the management of the Dhaka University Alumni Association, from October 11 to 31, 677 students of the university in 101 groups organized more than 500 gatherings in remote areas of the country.
From Panchagarh to Cox’s Bazar, in almost all districts and upazilas of the country, in schools, colleges, and madrasas, the students of the university have encouraged people of all walks of life, including teenagers, teachers, youth, old people, and women, to prevent social disorders.
In all places of this field-level campaign, the local people participated enthusiastically in the rally. They sincerely asked many questions and gave a true picture of social problems in their respective areas, including drugs, child marriage, terrorism, and militancy.
President of Dhaka University Alumni Association, Anwar-Ul Alam Chowdhury Parvez, said, “This time the great success of the field-level activities of the ‘Society Change Students’ program is a great progress in the development of society. The students are overwhelmed by this, and our confidence as organizers has also increased. Under the Dhaka University Alumni Association Social Scholarship 2023, a number of banks and corporate organizations have partnered with the “Society Change Students” program for the third time.
He also invited more corporate organizations to be partners in the program in the future. However, Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury said, “Education and social enterprise scholarships are not conventional financial support or gifts to students. Through this, students are practicing social change initiatives in their own villages or in their own areas and are preparing to lead society in the future.”
