The Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized one kilogram of cannabis from the Burigoalini Kheyaghat area in Satkhira district on Wednesday.

Based on secret information, a special operation was conducted by the BCG team at an adjacent spot of the BCG West Zone, Koira Station, under the Shyamnagar Thana. The BCG team arrested Md. Faisal Hosain, Father: Kawser Ali of Katunia village which is under Pirganj Union of Kaliganj Thana, a drug dealer, and seized that amount of cannabis and two mobile phones from his possession.

The BCG officials said that the process of handing over the seized items and the drug dealer to the authorities concerned was underway.
