Janata Bank PLC and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, to strengthen and facilitate citizen-oriented services.

Janata Bank Managing Director Md. Mujibur Rahman and DSCC Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md. Abdus Salam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Following the signing, a discussion meeting on banking services was held at the DSCC conference room. Janata Bank General Manager of the ICT Department Mohammad Anis, General Manager of the Dhaka South Divisional Office Ruhia Akhter, Deputy General Manager of the Business Development Department Mohammad Riaz Hossain Ferdous, and senior DSCC officials attended the meeting.

Janata Bank Managing Director Md. Mujibur Rahman pledged to take necessary measures to provide mobile banking services to businesses, contractors and citizens using DSCC services through the collection of holding taxes, trade licence fees, birth and death registration fees, salaries through software, and other revenue payments.

The initiative is expected to make revenue collection and related citizen services more convenient through digital banking facilities.
