The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has found the factory of listed pharmaceutical company Active Fine Chemicals Ltd closed during an on-site inspection, with production and other operational activities suspended.
A DSE inspection team visited the company’s factory on June 25, 2026, as part of the exchange’s regular monitoring of listed companies, according to DSE sources.
The DSE typically conducts such inspections when a listed company fails to regularly disclose relevant information or maintain adequate communication with the stock exchange. During the inspection, the DSE delegation found that the Active Fine Chemicals factory was closed and no production activities were taking place.
The visit was conducted to assess the company’s operational and production status. However, the inspection team found the facility non-operational at the time of its visit. The finding has raised concerns about the company’s current operational status, particularly in the context of regulatory requirements for listed companies to maintain proper disclosures and comply with corporate governance standards.
The DSE has not yet disclosed the reasons for the factory shutdown or how long the company’s production has remained suspended.
