Standard Islami Bank PLC. organized a workshop titled `Shari’ah Compliance in Banking Operations` at the bank’s Head Office on 14 July 2026. The workshop was presided over by the Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Riad Mahmud Chowdhury. Chairman of the bank’s Shari’ah Supervisory Committee Mufti Mohammad Muhibbullahil Baqee An-Nadwi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Member of the bank’s Shari’ah Supervisory Committee Professor Dr. Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed attended as Special Guest.

The workshop was conducted by the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Janab Md. Siddiqur Rahman. Mufti Mohammad Muhibbullahil Baqee An-Nadwi, in his address, emphasized on the importance of ethical values and good conduct in Islamic banking. Professor Dr. Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed discussed the importance of Shari’ah compliance in Islamic banking including its key requirements and procedures.
