Bangladesh Bank has launched a month-long entrepreneurship development training programme under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The training course, titled “Entrepreneurship Development” (Batch 60/2026), is being conducted at the Janata Bank Staff College in Dhaka under the overall supervision of the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank. A total of 25 entrepreneurs are participating in the programme.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Programme Director and Bangladesh Bank Additional Director Md Masum Billah, Deputy Programme Director and Joint Director Mohammad Wasim, Janata Bank SME Department Deputy General Manager S.M. Shariful Islam, and the DIGM and Officer-in-Charge of Janata Bank Staff College, along with other senior executives and faculty members.
The SICIP programme aims to enhance entrepreneurs’ skills and strengthen the competitiveness and innovation capacity of Bangladesh’s industrial sector through specialised training and capacity-building initiatives.
