B Mirror Report: The Insurance Reporters Forum (IRF) will organize a post-budget seminar on June 27 to discuss the challenges, prospects, and future direction of Bangladesh’s insurance sector. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Hotel 71 in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.
Finance and Planning Adviser to the interim government, Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, will attend the seminar as the chief guest.
Special guests will include Syed Ahmed, President of the Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA); Mir Nadia Nivin, Chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA); BM Yusuf Ali, President of the Bangladesh Insurance Forum (BIF); and Professor Dr. Shahidul Islam Zahid, Chairman of the Department of Banking and Insurance at the University of Dhaka.
Representatives from the insurance industry, stakeholders, and media professionals are also expected to attend. The seminar will be chaired by Golam Mawla, President of the Insurance Reporters Forum.
According to the organizers, the seminar will focus on the current state of the insurance sector, the impact of the national budget, policy recommendations, and future opportunities for industry growth. IRF has invited media organizations to nominate one reporter and one cameraperson to cover the event.
