Grameen Bank to plant 20 crore tree this year

Inspired by Bangabandhu’s ideal of tree love and expressing solidarity with the steps taken by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to address the challenges of climate change, Grameen Bank has launched a program to plant 20 crore trees nationwide by 2023 by planting saplings at its head office premises.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grameen Bank Prof. Dr. AKM Saiful Majid. Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin, director of Grameen Bank Board of Directors, was present as the guest of honor.

Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md Chaiduzzaman Bhajana and other executives along with all the officers and employees of Grameen Bank Head Office were also present.
The program started with National Anthem and recitation of Holy Quran. An infographic on climate change impacts is then displayed.
