Premier Bank hits BDT 1,144 Cr fresh deposits

As part of the “Deposit & Recovery Campaign 2026,” The Premier Bank PLC has achieved a significant milestone. Within only 26 working days since April 1, the Bank successfully mobilized BDT 1,144 crore in fresh deposits. In addition, from January to April 2026, the Bank accomplished approximately BDT 523 crore in cash recovery.

The announcement was made during a special meeting held on Thursday morning at the Bank’s Head Office. The meeting was conducted online, with all employees of the bank connected virtually. Present at the session were Chairman Dr. Arifur Rahman, Managing Director Md. Monzur Mofiz, Deputy Managing Directors Niamat Uddin Ahmed, Amalendu Roy, S M Wali Ul Morshed, Mohammad Al-Amin, along with other senior officials.

Chairman Dr. Arifur Rahman stated: “This achievement demonstrates that Premier Bank always places the highest importance on customer trust and confidence. Our collective efforts will further strengthen the country’s financial sector.”

Managing Director Mr. Md. Monzur Mofiz remarked:  “This remarkable success in just 26 days is the result of teamwork, customer-centric service, and targeted planning. We will continue to work with the same dedication to make the Bank’s growth even more dynamic in the future.”

During the meeting, the progress of the ongoing “Deposit & Recovery Campaign 2026” and various business indicators were reviewed. It was highlighted that strengthening customer service, adopting innovative deposit mobilization initiatives, and the combined efforts of branches and relevant divisions have been key drivers behind this success.
