The Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its Board of Directors Election for the term 2026–2027. Mr. Md. Anwar Shahid has been elected as the President of BMCCI for the 2026–2027 term. With extensive experience in business leadership, trade development, and international collaboration, Mr. Shahid will lead the Chamber into a new phase of strategic growth and impact.

The newly elected Board of Directors comprises a dynamic group of professionals representing diverse sectors, bringing together expertise, innovation, and a shared vision to strengthen Bangladesh–Malaysia economic relations further. Under the leadership of the new Board, BMCCI aims to position itself as a leading bilateral

chamber by focusing on: a) Expanding bilateral trade and facilitating investment opportunities b) Promoting collaboration in the Halal industry c) Supporting SMEs in accessing international markets d) Enhancing member services and engagement e) Strengthening policy advocacy and institutional partnerships.

Speaking on the occasion, President Anwar Shahid expressed his gratitude to the members for their trust and reaffirmed his commitment to building a proactive, inclusive, and results-driven Chamber.
