B Mirror Report: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin across the country tomorrow at 10am, with over 18.5 lakh candidates set to participate.

A total of 18,51,423 students will sit for the exams under 11 education boards this year.

All preparations have been completed to ensure the examinations are held in a fair and transparent manner. For the first time, CCTV cameras have been installed at every centre to enhance security and maintain discipline.

On the first day, Bangla (Compulsory) First Paper will be held under general education boards, alongside respective subjects under Madrasa and Technical boards.

Officials said 14,12,476 candidates are appearing under nine general education boards, while 3,04,286 are under the Madrasa Education Board and 1,34,660 under the Technical Education Board.

The examinations will take place at 3,902 centres across 30,425 institutions nationwide.

Authorities have also introduced additional measures, including digital monitoring of question paper transport and early opening of centres from 8:30am to ease student entry amid गर्म weather conditions.

The written exams will continue until May 20, followed by practical examinations from June 7 to June 14.

Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon said the government is determined to conduct the exams in a credible and transparent environment, urging students to participate without fear.
