PM heads to Bogura for day-long programme

B Mirror Report:  BNP chairman Tarique Rahman has travelled to his home district Bogura for a day-long programme, according to party sources.

He departed from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka at around 6:10am on Monday (April 20) by road, accompanied by his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman.

Party sources said this marks his first visit to Bogura since assuming senior party responsibilities.

During the visit, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to take part in a series of development and political programmes, including the inauguration of the newly formed Bogura City Corporation.

According to the itinerary, he is expected to arrive at the Bogura Circuit House around 10:30am. Later, he will inaugurate a new building of the District Bar Association, an e-bail bond system at the district court, and the formal launch of Bogura City Corporation.

He is also scheduled to travel to Bagbari in Gabtali upazila, where he will inaugurate a measles vaccination campaign at Ziaur Rahman Rural Hospital.

In the afternoon, he is expected to address a public rally organised by the Bogura district BNP at Altafunnesa playground. After the rally, he will also inaugurate the new building of Bogura Press Club and the reconstruction work of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.

After completing the day’s programmes, he is expected to return to Dhaka, with a brief stopover scheduled at the Rural Development Academy in Bogura in the evening.
