A 22-member business delegation of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is set to leave for Guangzhou, China, tomorrow with the objective of enhancing bilateral economic relations.
According to a press release, the visit is intended to deepen Bangladesh-China economic cooperation, boost trade and investment ties, and explore new business opportunities between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The delegation will be led by DCCI Senior Vice President Razeev H Chowdhury. It comprises exporters and importers from a wide range of sectors, including food processing, ceramics, information technology, automotive, industrial lubricants, shipping and logistics, electrical and electronic goods, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, defense equipment, and ready-made garments.
During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to participate in a number of business forums and B2B networking events with prominent Chinese trade bodies and chambers. These include CCPIT Guangzhou, CCPIT Guangzhou Nansha, Guangzhou Nansha Association of Trade in Services, Guangdong Chamber of Commerce of Importers & Exporters, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products (CCCME), and the Guangzhou Overseas Enterprises Chamber of Commerce.
The visit will also include participation in the Canton Fair, one of China’s largest international trade exhibitions, where delegates will take part in buyer-seller matchmaking sessions and explore business prospects directly. Additionally, they will attend the Guangzhou Sourcing Fair.
Through this initiative, DCCI aims to reinforce its role in promoting global trade, strengthening private sector partnerships, and helping Bangladeshi businesses integrate more effectively into international supply chains.
