B Mirror Report: The government has appointed administrators in five more city corporations: Barishal, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Rangpur, and Cumilla.

A gazette notification regarding the appointments was issued today by the Ministry of Local Government.

According to the notification, the administrators will remain in charge of their respective city corporations until elected bodies are formed or until further government orders.

Under the new appointments:

• Bilkis Akhtar Jahan Shirin has been made administrator of Barishal City Corporation.
• Mahfuzur Rahman has been appointed administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation.
• Rukonuzzaman Rokon has been given the role in Mymensingh.
• Mahfuz Un Nabi Chowdhury has been appointed administrator of Rangpur City Corporation.
• Md Yusuf Molla has been assigned as the administrator of Cumilla City Corporation.

Earlier, on February 23, the government appointed full-time administrators in six city corporations, including Dhaka North and Dhaka South, until the local body elections are held.
