After the successful completion of the Core Banking System (CBS) upgrade program at Al-Arafah Islami Bank, only cash transactions and branch-based banking services will resume from Thursday, February 5, 2026. The Core Banking System upgrade has been undertaken to enhance technological capacity, build a modern banking infrastructure, and ensure safer, faster, and uninterrupted banking services for customers.

The CBS upgrade program has been implemented in line with the ongoing technology-driven transformation in the banking sector, with the objective of providing international-standard banking services. As a result, the Bank’s information technology infrastructure has been further strengthened, and its capacity to deliver future-oriented digital banking services has increased significantly.

With the approval of Bangladesh Bank, the CBS upgrade program at Al-Arafah Islami Bank commenced on January 30, 2026. During the system upgrade process, the highest level of security for customers’ financial information was ensured by strictly adhering to international-standard cybersecurity and data protection policies.

As a result of the modernization of the Core Banking System, the Bank’s overall operations have become more dynamic, transparent, secure, and customer-friendly. At the same time, transaction speed has increased, service quality has improved, risk management capabilities have been enhanced, and an improved digital banking experience for customers has been ensured.
