ACI returns to profit in first half as revenue rises 17.74%

B Mirror ReportAdvanced Chemical Industries (ACI) PLC has returned to profit in the first half (July–December) of the current 2025–26 fiscal year after previously posting losses. During the period, the company’s revenue increased by 17.74 percent, according to its unaudited financial statement for the second quarter (October–December).

As per the report, ACI’s revenue in the first half of the current fiscal year stood at Tk 7,794 crore, compared to Tk 6,620 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year. During this time, the company recorded a net profit after tax of Tk 30.20 crore, whereas it had posted a net loss after tax of Tk 64.60 crore in the corresponding period last year.

ACI’s earnings per share (EPS) for the first half came in at Tk 0.73. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had incurred a loss per share of Tk 7.99. As of December 31, 2025, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 90.70.

For the most recently completed 2024–25 fiscal year, the board declared a 25 percent cash dividend for investors. In that fiscal year, ACI reported a loss per share of Tk 7.40, compared to Tk 18.25 in the previous year. The company’s NAVPS stood at Tk 91.64 as of June 30, 2025.

Earlier, in the 2023–24 fiscal year, the company had distributed a total dividend of 35 percent, comprising 20 percent cash and 15 percent stock dividend.

Listed on the stock market in 1976, ACI has an authorized capital of Tk 300 crore and a paid-up capital of Tk 87.83 crore. The company’s reserves amount to Tk 591.65 crore. The total number of shares stands at 87,831,843. Of these, 46.84 percent are held by sponsor-directors, 34.43 percent by institutional investors, and the remaining 18.73 percent by general investors.
