The overall price-earnings (P/E) ratio of the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased during the outgoing week (January 25–29).
According to the DSE’s weekly market review, the P/E ratio rose by 4 percent over the period.
Data show that the DSE’s P/E ratio stood at 9.01 points at the beginning of the week and climbed to 9.33 points by the end of the week. As a result, the P/E ratio increased by 0.32 points, or 4 percent, within a week.
