DSE P/E Ratio Drops by 2% in Last Week

The overall price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declined in the past week (14–18 December).

According to the DSE’s weekly market review, the index’s P/E ratio fell by 2 percent over the period.

At the start of the week, the DSE’s P/E ratio stood at 8.76 points, which decreased to 8.55 points by the week’s end. This represents a decline of 0.21 points, reflecting a modest contraction in market valuations.

Market analysts attribute the decrease to a combination of moderate price adjustments and earnings movements in key listed companies.
