Imran, Jhenaidah Correspondent : The 7th foundation anniversary and introductory meeting of the newly formed committee of the Law and Human Rights Protection Foundation (AMASUF) was held in Jhenaidah.

On Saturday morning, a colorful rally was organized from in front of the organization’s district office located in the Parkpara area of the town. The rally paraded through the main roads of the city and concluded at the premises of the old DC Court.

Following that, an introductory meeting was held in the conference room of Ahar Restaurant in the town.

The meeting was presided over by Zahidul Islam, President of the district committee of AMASUF. Among those who spoke at the event were the organization’s advisors Professor Dr. Abu Sina, Faridul Islam Quddus, Shamsul Alam, Saeed Hasan, Saiful Haque Siraji, Ruhul Quddus, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Abdur Rahman Salafi, and Barrister Md. Tarikul Islam. The program was conducted by the organization’s General Secretary Kazi Masum Zaman.

During the meeting, all the newly appointed committee members were introduced. The speakers stated that the Law and Human Rights Protection Foundation has been working from the very beginning to establish social justice, protect human rights, and stand beside marginalized people. They expressed hope that the organization will continue to play an important role in upholding the rule of law and protecting human rights in the future.
