The 12th Annual General Meeting of Global Islami Bank (based on December 31, 2024 financial statements) held on September 21, 2025 in a hybrid system at Banquet Hall, Kurmitola Golf Club, Dhaka. The meeting was presided over by Mohammad Nurul Amin, Independent Director and Chairman of the bank. He said that the current Board of Directors of the bank is working to protect the interests of all shareholders and depositors. In their speeches at the meeting, the shareholders strongly requested that the rights of customers, depositors, officers and employees should not be violated as a result of the merger of the bank. All the proposals including the financial report were approved as per the agenda of the general meeting. Among others, Independent Director and Vice Chairman Md. Jamal Mollah, Independent Director and Executive Committee Chairman Nurul Islam Khalifa, Independent Director Professor Abu Hena Reza Hasan, Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman Md. Mahmud Hossain FCA, Shariah Supervisory Committee Vice Chairman Mufti Mohammad Muhibullahil Baqee, Managing Director (Acting) Ataus Samad, Deputy Managing Directors Sami Karim and A. F. Shabbir Ahmed and Company Secretary Md. Manjur Hossain were present at the event. The meeting was formally concluded with prayers and munajat.
