DMP Honors Best Performers of August 2025

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recognized its top-performing officers for August 2025 at the monthly crime review meeting held on Monday (September 15) at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh. DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali, NDC, handed out awards to officers from various ranks for their outstanding contributions to law enforcement, crime control, and public safety across the capital.

Among the winners, Gulshan Division was named the Best Crime Division, while Gulshan Police Station was recognized as the Best Police Station. Jahid Hossain, Assistant Police Commissioner of Pallabi Zone, was awarded Best AC. Sub-Inspectors Md. Nur Islam (Pallabi PS) and Md. Abdul Malek Khan (Uttara West PS) were jointly selected as Best SIs, while ASIs Md. Yunus (Jatrabari PS) and Md. Nader Ali (Mohammadpur PS) jointly received the Best ASI award.

In the Detective Branch category, DB-Lalbagh was named Best DB Division, and AC Mazharul Islam from DB-Motijheel was recognized as Best Team Leader for his role in illegal arms recovery and narcotics control. In the traffic division, Traffic-Wari was named Best Division, and Sergeants Md. Sohel Rana (Jatrabari Zone) and Md. Nazmul Islam (Darussalam Zone) were jointly awarded Best Traffic Sergeants.

The meeting was conducted by Joint Commissioner (Crime) Md. Faruq Hossain and attended by Additional Commissioners, Joint Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of all DMP police stations, and other senior officials.
