Mansur Pabna Correspondent:Mohammad Shafiqul Islam joined Santhia Women’s Degree College, one of the women’s higher education institutions in Santhia Upazila of Pabna district, as the new principal on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The president of the college’s governing council, eminent social worker, politician, educationist, principal Muha. Abdul Malek, accepted his joining letter. At that time, all the teachers and employees of the college were present and greeted their new principal with flowers. Expressing his feelings, the new principal Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said to the teachers, Santhia Women’s Degree College is the wealth of you, me, and even all the people of Santhia. It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Santhia started his career as the head teacher of Daulatpur Imam Hossain Academy. On 16 September 1993, he joined Shahid Suhrawardy College Khulna as a lecturer in Islamic Education. On 01 October 2002, he joined Santhia Women’s Degree College as an assistant professor and on 17 March 2005, he was appointed as the vice-principal. On 31 December 2021, when the founding principal of Santhia Women’s Degree College, Muha. Abdul Malek, retired, he was serving as the acting principal from 01 January 2022. Finally, on 30 October 2025, he received the recommendation of the recruitment board formed by the college and joined as the principal on 4 September
