Aftab Feni Correspondent:  A protest meeting took place at the Feni Press Club, initiated by the Bangladesh Mofusal Union of Journalists (BMUJ) Feni District Committee, calling for the swift execution of those responsible for the brutal murder of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin in Gazipur.

On Monday afternoon, August 11, a protest meeting was convened at the Feni Press Club, chaired by BMUJ Feni District President Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan and moderated by General Secretary Aftab Momin Bhuiyan. Among the speakers were BMUJ Central Committee Organizing Secretary Sohag Arefin, former President of Feni Press Club AKM Abdur Rahim, RTV District Representative Azad Malder, Channel I Representative Rabiul Haque Robi, former General Secretary of Feni Reporters Unity Ali Haider Manik, BMUJ Feni Vice President Zahirul Jahangir, former General Secretary SM Masum Billah Bhuiyan, President of Parashuram Press Club MA Hasan, President of the Photo Journalists Association Yasir Arafat Rubel, BMUJ Feni Joint General Secretary Kazi Nurul Alam Nilu, Organizing Secretary Ala Uddin Sabuj, and members Mohiuddin Mohi, Didar Majumder, among others.

The speakers emphasized the need for the enactment of the Journalist Protection Act, demanded that the murderers of Gazipur journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin be swiftly sentenced to death by a tribunal, and called for a compensation of Tk 10 crore for all journalists, including Sagar, Runi, and Tuhin, who lost their lives while performing their professional duties.
