Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) organized a photo exhibition titled “July Revolution Photo Exhibition-2024” at main gate of the administrative building of BARI (03 August 2025) to commemorate the July Revolution 2024, for the revival of democracy and pay tribute to the martyrs.

In July 2024, Bangladesh witnessed a historic moment – when the students and the public embarked on a life-threatening struggle against state repression, disappearances, murders, corruption and suppression of freedom of speech. The name of that mass movement is the July Revolution 2024, which truly re-established democracy and freedom of expression in the country. The July Revolution is not just a political change; it is an awakening of national consciousness. This revolution ended the difficult period when the dictatorial government had stifled the people’s voices for years and ensured the victory of the people.

BARI Director General Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond inaugurated the July Revolution Photo Exhibition by cutting the ribbon as the chief guest. At this time, all the directors of BARI, heads of the various division, scientists, officers, employees and workers of all levels of the institute were present at the event. At this time, the chief guest said in his speech – “July Revolution is a glorious story of a struggle that will remain bright in our national life. Through the democracy is restored. People get their freedom of speech back.
