Tangail Amateur Fishermen’s Association AGM-2025 held

Mrinal Tangail Correspondent:  The Annual General Meeting of the Tangail Amateur Fishermen’s Association for 2025 took place on the morning of Saturday, August 2nd. The event was presided over by Vice President Harun Or Rashid, with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abdullah Al Mamun serving as the chief guest. During the meeting, Md. Azgar Ali, the General Secretary of the Amateur Fishermen’s Association, presented the annual report to the members.

He highlighted that the current elected committee is diligently working to uphold the association’s tradition of transparency and education in amateur fishing. To enhance the fishing experience for the association’s members, a significant quantity of fish has been released into the lake, and he requested everyone’s support in maintaining a favorable overall environment. The elected committee members expressed their gratitude to all members for facilitating the organization of this annual general meeting at the association’s office premises after a considerable time.

Subsequently, he concluded the meeting by wishing all members good health and inviting them to enjoy the afternoon’s entertainment. Attendees included Md. Asaduzzaman (Swapon), the elected vice-president of the Amateur Fishermen’s Association, Joint General Secretary Kamrul Hasan Khan Babul, Joint General Secretary Md. Asaduzzaman (Rajib), Treasurer Md. Shawkat Akbar (Imroz), and members Md. Ashfaqur Rahman (Sathi), Md. Nuruzzaman (Selim), Md. Hazrat Khan, Mrinal Kanti Roy, along with all committee and life members.
