Chief Advisor Commits to Comprehensive Plane Crash Inquiry

According to Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, an investigation will be conducted into the Bangladesh Air Force training fighter jet crash that occurred at the Milestone School and College site in Uttara. “All of these are our children,” he continued. They are lost forever. This situation will undoubtedly be looked into by us. Additionally, we are arranging for the treatment of individuals who have been hurt. Everyone is rushing to get them.

The Chief Advisor conveyed these sentiments in a video message to the citizens, expressing profound sorrow over the plane crash that occurred on Monday (July 21). He urged the public not to overcrowd the hospital, stating, “Everyone is rushing to the hospital. We request everyone not to crowd the hospital. This is detrimental to the injured. Their bodies lack the strength to fend off diseases. If we crowd, it becomes challenging to predict what illnesses may spread from us to them. Therefore, let everyone pray from a distance.

Describing the plane crash as ‘unbelievable’, the Chief Advisor remarked, “I am at a loss for words. How do I even begin? I cannot comprehend it. Today, people across the nation, like myself, are in shock. Such an event could occur. None of us envisioned it. It was beyond anyone’s imagination. Yet, we must come to terms with this astonishing incident that has occurred so suddenly.

The entire nation was left in shock over the loss of numerous children. In a heartfelt video message, he stated, “The training plane crashed and fell upon young children at the Milestone School and College campus. The children perished in the flames. How do we respond to the parents? What can we tell them? We cannot even answer ourselves. The faces of unknown children keep haunting us. To say that the entire nation is speechless and grieving would be an understatement. The wounds from this tragedy have yet to heal. Bodies continue to arrive at the hospital. People are still succumbing to their injuries. Parents are still searching for their children. Will they ever be identified again? Is my child among the bodies I see? There is no way to distinguish them.

Professor Yunus stated, “We have announced a day of grief for the killed children,” referring to tomorrow as a national day of mourning. We shall all remember them together on the day of grief tomorrow. We’ll offer up prayers for them to rest in peace. Everyone will pray for their souls to be forgiven starting today. May peace come from Allah. All of us citizens are praying for the youngsters who have been killed. May Allah grant these kids a place to live in paradise.
