Fertilizer shortages won’t occur until November, according to retired Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Advisor to the Home and Agriculture. According to him, all debts have been paid by the temporary government. Fertilizer is available until November.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Monday, July 21, he made this statement.
According to the agriculture advisor, the nation has an ample supply of fertilizer. There are no arrears for the government either. All obligations have been paid by the temporary government. Fertilizer is available until November. There won’t be any crises during this time.
He stated that when fertilizer licenses are being granted, eligible individuals will be taken into account. Political factors will no longer be used to award dealerships. In this respect, policies will be adhered to. Policy formulation is under progress. Dealers will be guaranteed fertilizer dealerships.
According to the advisor, persons who previously experienced issues with fertilizer licenses would not be included. There will be new licenses for fertilizer. In this context, qualified candidates will be taken into consideration.
According to him, efforts are under progress to establish 100 micro cold storage facilities nationwide. They might be up and running before the next season, he said. In addition to this, OMS is going to supply potatoes. Farmers will receive a fair price in this manner.
