Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to Bangladesh’s interim government, attended the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference in China on Thursday.

Currently in China, Yunus is set to speak at the opening session of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025.

The opening plenary session in Hainan, China, will also feature speeches from Lao Prime Minister Sonexai Siphandon, Executive Vice Premier of the State Council of China Ding Xuexiang, Boao Forum for Asia Chairman Ban Ki-moon, and Secretary-General Zhang Jun.

Yunus arrived in China on Wednesday for a four-day official visit, during which he plans to meet with CEOs of prominent Chinese companies in addition to participating in the Boao Forum.

Tomorrow, he will hold his first bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, where they will discuss matters of mutual interest. The Chief Advisor is expected to return to Bangladesh on March 29.
