The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw all price indexes close trading in negative trends on the fourth working day of the week. Simultaneously, the volume of transactions in taka declined. Sources from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) disclosed this information.
According to sources, on Wednesday (February 12), the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 2.43 points. Currently, the index is at 5,189 points.
In addition, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 34.0 points to 1,152 points and the ‘DS-30′ index fell by 68.0 points to 1,913 points.
Today, shares and units worth 391.5 million 21 thousand taka were traded on DSE. The previous working day, 519.5 million 55.26 thousand taka were traded.
Shares and units of 399 companies were exchanged on the DSE today. Of those involved in the transaction, 209 companies saw a decrease in price, while 143 companies saw an increase. Furthermore, 47 companies’ share and unit prices did not change.
