All price indices of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw a decrease in trading on the first working day of the week. Over 250 shares of the companies involved in the trading fell at the same time. Compared to the previous working day, the trading volume has further declined.

According to the source, on Sunday (January 26), the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 34.14 points. The index is currently at 5,132 points.
In addition, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 19.92 points to 1,150 points and the ‘DS-30′ index fell by 17.28 points to 1,895 points.
Today, shares and units worth 3,184,584,000 taka were traded on DSE. On the previous working day, 3,562,673,000 taka were traded.
A total of 403 companies’ shares and units changed hands on the DSE today. Of the companies participating in the transaction, 75 companies’ prices increased, while 261 companies’ prices decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 67 companies remained unchanged.
