On Wednesday (October 16), both stock markets of the country fell. At the same time, the number of lanes has decreased. Most of the companies’ share prices have decreased on this day.

On this day, the main stock market of the country Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) main index DSEX decreased by 17 points to 5349 points. Which decreased by 8 points the previous day.

Shares and units worth Tk 115 crore 44 lakh were traded on DSE on Wednesday. The amount of which was 318 crore 6 lakh taka the previous day. According to this, the transaction has decreased by 202 crore 62 lakh taka or 64 percent.

Among the 385 companies traded in DSE on this day, the share and unit price increased by 104 or 27.01 percent. And the rate decreased by 195 or 50.64 percent and the rate did not change by 86 or 22.33 percent.

On the other hand, shares and units worth Tk 7 crore 96 lakh were traded in CSE on Wednesday. Among the 209 companies traded in CSE on this day, the share and unit price increased in 48, decreased in 142 and did not change in 19. On this day, the overall index of CSE CASPI decreased by 75 points and stood at 14972 points.
