The CSE-30 index of selected companies of the exchange has been finalized based on performance review of companies listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). Ten new companies have been added to it. On the other hand, ten companies have been excluded from the index. It will be effective from September 10.
The newly added companies to the CSE-30 index are- Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cables Plc, Bank Asia Plc, British American Tobacco Bangladesh, BSRM Steels Limited, Delta Life Insurance Limited, DBH Finance Plc, Matin Spinning Mills Plc, NRBC Bank plc and Square Textiles plc.
On the other hand, the companies excluded from the CSE-30 index include- Apex Footwear Limited, Export Import Bank (Exim Bank), Far East Knitting and Dyeing Industries Limited, Green Delta Insurance Company Limited, Mercantile Bank Plc, Navana CNG Limited, Popular Life Insurance Company Ltd., Pubali Bank Plc, Summit Aliens Port Limited and Summit Power Limited.

Incidentally, the capitalization of companies included in the CSE-30 index is 27.86 percent of the total market capitalization of listed companies and 34.85 percent of the free-float market capitalization.
