Abdur Rahman Khan, chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), said strict action will be taken if there is minimal violation of the law in revenue collection. At the same time, he instructed the officials not to harass the businessmen in the name of revenue collection.
The new chairman of NBR told these things to the journalists at Agargaon in the capital on Sunday (August 18).
Apart from this, Abdur Rahman Khan also said that the tax burden on the poor people will be reduced and emphasis will be placed on tax collection from the financially capable citizens.
NBR Chairman said, I will not unnecessarily burden the table. I will finish the day’s work on the same day. Everyone has to collect revenue according to law. Strict action will be taken against him in the slightest violation.
Abdur Rahman Khan also said that due to political problems, the desired investment was not received in the economic zones. Change must be made here.
