Finance and planning adviser of the interim government has expressed hope that the price of daily commodities will decrease in the market soon. Salehuddin Ahmed.
He said, common people will get relief. I wouldn’t say prices will drop overnight anytime soon. But the price of goods will decrease.
He said these things while talking to reporters at the meeting room of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday (August 14) at noon.
In response to a question about syndicates in the market, he said, there is nothing that has not come to our attention. This has come to our attention. I have some ideas. The Governor also knows this. The secretaries here are also very experienced. I told them, you will tell me everything. There is nothing to fear here. Don’t speak out of fear. Tell me about any problems.
In response to the question whether any action will be taken regarding corruption, he said that there was no discussion about it today.
In response to the question that corruption will be covered up, he said, it is not a matter of covering up. It is an ongoing process. Some procedure has to be followed to punish someone. None of these issues escaped our attention. Action has already been taken in some cases.
What are the specific instructions given today? In response to such questions, the finance adviser said that the Ministry of Industry and Agriculture will do whatever is necessary in the field of production. For example, supply of fertilizers, market management, advantages and disadvantages of producers will be seen. After all, the supply chain is tied to it. We will work there.
In reply to the question whether the common people will get relief from the current prices of the products in the market, he said, yes. Soon common man will get relief in this regard. I wouldn’t say prices will drop overnight anytime soon. But the price of goods will decrease.
When asked whether inflation and monetary policy will be coordinated or not, he said, yes. Work will be coordinated. But lack of coordination is wasting money. Preventing wastage of money and ensuring proper utilization. Be it domestic resources or borrowed from abroad. These two areas will be given utmost importance. We will not waste money.
In response to a question, he said, we will definitely take new steps and ensure the implementation of those steps. Many measures are not implemented in many places, for various reasons. Don’t worry, we will implement what we take. We will eat as much as we can. I will implement it.
