The company has told the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) that it does not know the reason for the abnormal increase in the share price of the listed company The Dhaka Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited.
According to sources, DSE has sent a notice on August 13 seeking to know the reason for the abnormal increase in the share price of the company. In response, the company said the share price was rising without any undisclosed price sensitive information.
Note that the share price of the company was 8 taka 40 paisa on August 4. And on August 13, the share price increased to 14 taka 40 paisa. That is, in just 6 working days, the share price of the company increased by 6 taka. The DSE authorities consider this rate hike to be unusual.
