Investors have demanded justice for the looters of the stock market

Capital Market Investors Unity Council has demanded justice for those who built mountains of wealth and crippled the stock market by looting the stock market during the reign of Sheikh Hasina government.

Today Tuesday (06 August) in front of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in the capital’s Motijheel, the leaders of the Capital Market Investors Unity Council said that in the last 16 years, some identified individuals have built a mountain of wealth in the country and abroad by looting the stock market. Common investors are left unscathed by their loot. They demanded that those looters be brought under the law through fair investigation.

The leaders of the Capital Market Investors Unity Council have complained against Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubaiyat Islam and said that BSEC Chairman Shibli Rubaiyat Islam has filed a false and baseless case against them because of raising the fair demands of the affected investors of the stock market.

They alleged that many leaders of Capital Market Investors Unity Parishad have been jailed under the influence of Shibli Rubaiyat and have been hiding in many different places to protect themselves. They said that Professor Shibli Rubaiyat has shown a lot of fear to silence the leaders of Oikya Parishad by giving that Haroon of DB.

The vice-president of Capital Market Investors Unity Parishad, Dentist Md. Mohsin said, “I have frankly highlighted the fair demands of common investors. That was my crime. The BSEC chairman put me in jail unjustly. He demanded justice for the irregularities and corruption of the BSEC chairman.

Senior Vice President Kazi Nazrul Islam, Senior Vice President Ishtiaq Ahmed, and others addressed the gathering.
