DSE trading increased but CSE decreased.

The second working day of the week ended Monday (July 15) with indices fluctuating in the stock market. On this day, the main stock market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), has increased, but the other market, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), has decreased.

According to the market analysis, on Monday, DSE main index DSEX rose by 2 points to 5 thousand 484 points. Among the other two indices, Shariah index 1 point and DSE-30 index 7 point 7 are standing at 1203 and 1944 points respectively.

Shares and mutual funds of Tk 662 crore 24 lakhs were traded in DSE on this day. Which is an increase of about 40 crores of transactions compared to the previous working day. Shares and mutual funds worth Tk 622 crore were traded in DSE the previous day.

Shares of 397 companies and units of mutual funds were traded on DSE on Monday. Among them, the prices of 140 companies increased, 191 decreased and 66 companies’ shares and mutual fund unit prices remained unchanged.

The top 10 companies traded on the day are Orion Infusion, Sea Pearl, Lavello Ice Cream, Eastern Bank, Far East Knitting, Salvo Chemical, Global Heavy Chemical, Beach Hatchery, Sonali Paper and Gemini Sea Food.

Another stock market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) general index CASPI has decreased by 29 points to 15 thousand 632 points. Among the 245 companies that changed hands in CSE on this day, the share price of 75 companies increased, 143 companies decreased and the share price of 28 companies remained unchanged.

Shares and units worth Tk 6.9 million were traded on CSE on Monday. Which is a decrease of about 2 million rupees compared to the previous day. 8 crore 36 lakh was traded in CSE the previous day.
