The main capital market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the fourth working day of the week on Wednesday (October 30) with a massive rise in prices. Share prices of most companies have increased so raises a little hope in investors mind.
According to sources, DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ rose 147.51 points on Wednesday (October 30). Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 164 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 22.55 points to 1136 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 57.58 points to 1915 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 519 crore 31 lakh 27 thousand were traded in DSE today. 346 crore 58 lakh 64 thousand taka was traded on the previous working day.
A total of 397 shares and units of companies were traded in DSE that day. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 373 companies increased in price, while 15 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit price of 9 companies remained unchanged.
