At that time, Jamidul (18), Shahin (40), Rabbani (30) and Joy (22) were accidentally electrocuted by an electric wire that had already been torn off and was lying on the ground. They were electrocuted. Among them,

Locals complained that despite repeated requests to the Rural Electricity Office to repair the abandoned and dilapidated cable lines in the area, they did not come to any avail. The locals said that the accident happened today due to their negligence.
Jamidul’s elder brother Joy said that 14 of us were working together to harvest corn. There, a rural electricity line was connected to the abandoned PDB line. The day before the incident, there was no electricity in that area until approximately 8 am due to a storm. When the electricity came around approximately 9 am, it was connected to the two wires and the PDB wire was hanging on the rain-soaked ground, which caused it to get electrified. This incident happened immediately.
Jalal Uddin of the same area said that the PDB line had been hanging on the pole in an abandoned state for a long time, and the rural electricity line was connected to it. Despite repeated requests to the authorities to resolve the issue of connecting the two lines, they were not concerned. The locals alleged that this incident happened due to the negligence of the electricity authorities.
