3 clinics sealed one fined in mobile court drive

Tangail Correspondent: A mobile court in Tangail sealed three unauthorized private clinics and fined another clinic Tk 155,000 during a crackdown on Tuesday.

The drive was carried out at several private clinics and hospitals across Tangail municipality under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Farazy Mohammad Mahbubul Alam Manzu. Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate. Mst. Farhana Arafin Jui from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office was present during the operation.

During the inspection, City Hospital, Tangail Clinic and Teachers Hospital, and Makkah-Madinah Eye Hospital were sealed for operating without valid government approval.

Meanwhile, Khidmah Specialized Hospital was fined Tk 155,000 after authorities found irregularities and deficiencies related to its regulatory approval and other operational compliance issues.

The mobile court said the campaign was aimed at ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and protecting patients by taking action against unauthorized and non-compliant healthcare facilities.
