YUNet Speak Up Bangladesh Grand Finale Held at CUB

B.Mirror Report: Youth Upskill Network (YUNet) successfully organized the Grand Finale of “YUNet Speak Up Bangladesh – Season 2,” a national public speaking championship aimed at empowering the youth of Bangladesh through effective English communication, leadership, and confidence-building.
The grand finale was held on 30 April 2026 at Canadian University of Bangladesh, with support from CUB Career & Entrepreneurship Club. The nationwide competition brought together talented students from educational institutions across Bangladesh, providing a platform for young changemakers to express ideas, inspire audiences, and showcase impactful storytelling skills.
The competition featured multiple stages, including online registration, exclusive public speaking workshops, video-based primary rounds, and a live finale in Dhaka. Registered participants also received access to YUNet membership opportunities and future youth development initiatives.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. H M Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh, who praised the initiative for nurturing confident future leaders capable of representing Bangladesh on global platforms.
After an engaging and highly competitive final round, Adiba Sultana Alifa from Mohammadpur Preparatory School emerged as the Champion of YUNet Speak Up Bangladesh Season 2. Maliha Alam from the University of Rajshahi secured the position of 1st Runner-Up, while TM Waliullah Turjo from Bangladesh University of Professionals became the 2nd Runner-Up.
The judging panel consisted of distinguished professionals and youth leaders, including Isha Khan – Event Host, Trainer, and Managing Director of IdeaGo Marketing Solutions; Audrika Eshna Purbasha – Social Activist, Author & Researcher, and Manager at BRAC Microfinance; Fariha Basher – Lecturer, School of Business, Canadian University of Bangladesh; and Fairana Afsana – Associate at YY Ventures.
Speaking at the event, Md Altamis Nabil, Co-Founder & CEO of Youth Upskill Network and Event Adviser of the competition, stated, “Public speaking is no longer an optional skill in today’s world. Through Speak Up Bangladesh, we want to create a generation of confident young leaders who can communicate ideas, inspire change, and represent Bangladesh globally. Moving forward, we also aim to expand Speak Up beyond Bangladesh and build it into a South Asian platform for youth voices and leadership.”
Event Director Mahir Ashef, Co-Founder & COO of Youth Upskill Network, said, “Season 2 was bigger, more competitive, and more impactful than ever before. We believe this platform will continue to inspire youth to develop confidence, leadership, and communication excellence.”
The event was convened by Md Robiul Islam, Head of Creative at YUNet and Founding President of CUB Career & Entrepreneurship Club, alongside the dedicated efforts of volunteers, organizers, partners, and supporting organizations.
