M A Mannan, Bhola: About 3 lakh yaba were destroyed in Bhola. The value of which is at least TK 9 crore, if estimated.

Yesterday (April 17) at morning, these yaba were destroyed in front of the BCG office of the Coast Guard South Zone in Bhola.

Earlier, on February 26, an anti-narcotics operation was conducted by the Coast Guard South Zone and RAB in the forest areas adjacent to the Kuakata sea beach in Patuakhali and these yaba were recovered.

At that time, a case was filed with Kalapara PS to take legal action. Later, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patuakhali, ordered to destry the seized yaba.

The destruction of yaba was witnessed by Md. Ahsan Hafiz, Assistant Commissioner of Land,

Bhola Sadar Upazila and Executive Magistrate along with the Assistant Director of the Bhola Narcotics Control Department.
