With the index rising, 426 crore were traded.

The main capital market of the nation, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), concluded trading on Monday, January 20, the second working day of the week, with rising prices. In addition, the transaction amount has grown in comparison to the preceding business day.

According to sources, on this day the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ increased by 50.75 points. Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 195 points.

Besides, the other index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 15.62 points to 1 thousand 171 points and the index ‘DS-30’ increased by 20.21 points to 1 thousand 923 points.

Shares and units worth Tk 426.92 crore were traded in DSE today. 368 crore was traded on the previous working day.

A total of 400 company shares and units were exchanged in DSE that day. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 248 companies increased in price, while 81 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit price of 71 companies remained unchanged.
