Niaz Brahmanbaria Correspondent:Under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2025–26 financial year, Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Parishad distributed wheelchairs, medical and service equipment, and computer accessories to various government offices and beneficiaries.
As part of the initiative, the Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital of Brahmanbaria Sadar received essential medicines; 10 persons with special needs under the Department of Social Services were provided with wheelchairs; and medicines and delivery-related supplies were distributed to public health and family welfare centers across 11 unions under the Sadar Upazila Family Planning Office. Additionally, projectors, laptops, and sound systems were handed over to the Sadar Upazila Digital Center.
The distribution program was held yesterday at the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sifat Md. Ishtiaq Bhuiyan attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Brahmanbaria District Family Planning Deputy Director Mostafa Kamal, Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Imran Bhuiyan, Upazila Social Services Officer Nurul Mahmud Bhuiyan, Upazila Family Planning Officer Md. Borhan Uddin, Budhal Union Parishad Chairman Alhaj Atikur Rahman Shafiq, Youth Development Officer Md. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, and Assistant Engineer of Upazila Public Health Department Samira Akter Roxy, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest UNO Sifat Md. Ishtiaq Bhuiyan noted that the Upazila Parishad is committed to working for the welfare of the people. “We aim to ensure the honest and proper use of government funds. Our goal is to deliver services based on public demand by fostering partnerships between nation-building institutions and the Upazila Parishad,” he said.
