WhatsApp can be used without a phone number.

WhatsApp is currently one of the most popular messaging platforms in the world. Apart from personal chats, the platform is also used for important tasks such as sharing office information. Not only information exchange, but various important files including pictures, and videos are shared here.

But there is a big problem with WhatsApp, the phone number cannot be hidden. Now WhatsApp is working on it.

It is said that in the future WhatsApp will not require a phone number. Like other social media, WhatsApp will have usernames. With that, anyone can be found.

WhatsApp’s new feature is expected to bring huge changes to the app. The application works using known numbers and this was the original requirement of WhatsApp. Users can create unique usernames for their profiles.

This feature will allow users to select a preferred name, as long as it is already in use by another user. That means every username will be unique, and there will be no confusion.

During the setup process, users will be able to select a unique username. This approach will prioritize privacy. However, even if the username is set, those who already have the user’s phone number will still be able to find and contact the user.

The feature will only come to WhatsApp Web for now. The feature is still being developed. The latest version of WhatsApp Web will feature a new interface.
