Uttara Bank’s EPS drops by 59 percent

The unaudited financial report for the second quarter (April 25–June 25), which concluded on June 30, 2025, has been made public by Uttar Bank PLC, a publicly traded banking sector firm. In comparison to the same period last year, the bank’s earnings in the quarter under discussion fell by 59%.

The bank’s board of directors met for the 837th time today, July 16, to evaluate and approve the financial report for the second quarter of the current fiscal year. According to bank sources, this information was disclosed.

The source claims that in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, the bank’s earnings per share (EPS), which includes associate income, was 58 paisa. The total income for the same time last year was 1 taka 42 paisa.

The bank’s EPS during the first two quarters of the fiscal year, or the six months from January 25 to June 25, was 1 taka 82 paisa. The income for the same period last year was 2 taka.
In the most recent quarter, the bank’s consolidated cash flow per share was Tk 1.90, down from Tk 5.62 at the same time last year.

As of June 30, 2024, the bank’s consolidated net asset value per share (NAVPS) was Tk 27.92.
