Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus thanked the Turkish president, a longtime friend of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. He said he and Turkish First Lady Emin Erdogan are members of a high-level UN Zero-Waste Forum. He called for increasing trade with Turkey and said that Turkey needs investment in important sectors including production in Bangladesh, where Turkey is a strong global power.
President Erdoğan said he will soon send a high-powered delegation to Bangladesh to help rebuild the country. He invited the Chief Adviser to visit Türkiye. Professor Yunus accepted the offer stating that he would go to the country at a convenient time. The Chief Adviser invited President Erdogan to visit Bangladesh. He also accepted the proposal.
