The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw weaker trading on Tuesday, November 4, the third working day of the week, as a number of important indexes declined. The price of most mutual fund units and corporate shares fell, as did the overall transaction value.
DSE data shows that the benchmark index DSEX closed at 5,019 points after dropping 41.94 points.
Among other indices, the DSES index decreased by 10.90 points to 1,055 points, while the DS-30 index, comprising blue-chip stocks, lost 14.74 points to close at 1,946 points.
The day’s total turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 453.57 crore, down from Tk 518.62 crore in the previous session.
Shares and units of 396 companies were traded during the day. Of these, prices rose for 56, fell for 277, and remained unchanged for 63 companies and funds.
