Trading decreased as the index fell

On the fourth working day of the week, the country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended trading with a downward trend in the price index. The transaction volume decreased by Tk 10,000 from the previous working day. This information was revealed by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) sources.

According to sources, on Wednesday (January 29), the main index of the DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 13.91 points. The index is currently at 5,112 points.

In addition, the other index of the DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 7.95 points to 1,137 points and the ‘DS-30′ index fell by 0.67 points to 1,896 points.

Today, shares and units worth Tk 3,141.69 crore were traded on the DSE. On the previous working day, Tk 3,283.188 crore were traded.

A total of 395 companies’ shares and units changed hands on the DSE on Wednesday. Among the companies participating in the transaction, the prices of 124 companies increased, while the prices of 206 companies decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 65 companies remained unchanged.
