Bagerhat Correspondent: Tourists flocked increased to the Sundarbans holidays due to the addition of new modern ships in Sundarbans. On Saturday (January 20) the maximum number of tourists traveled to Karmjal in Sundarbans from morning to afternoon. About 3 thousand tourists came to Karamjal Tourism and Wildlife Breeding Center on this day.

Boatman carrying tourists, Badal Howladar said, “The number of tourists has increased manifold due to the addition of many new ships.” Many tourists from different parts of the country come here on vacation. This has also improved our income.

Before this, about 2500 tourists came to the center on Friday (January 19). During this month, most tourists come to Karamjal on Friday and Saturday. In the past days of the month, the number of tourists arriving in Karamjal was about 500 on an average.

Karamjal has long foot tailors, towering watch towers, crocodile and turtle breeding centers for visitors to enjoy. There are magical deer and monkeys in the protected forest. Names are also written on the trees to know the identity of the trees in the forest.

There is also a museum. Where the skeletons and mummification of various animals including forest tigers, deers, crocodiles are preserved.

Officer in charge of Karamjal Tourism and Wildlife Breeding Center. Azad Kabir said, “Being the closest to Mongla, Karamjal has the highest number of visitors compared to other spots. On the holidays of January 20 and 21, besides Karamjal, tourists have increased in other tourist centers including Harbaria, Neelkamal, Hiranpoint, Cuttack, Kachikhali and Andharmanik.

Asadul and Md. who came to visit the Sundarbans from Bogra. Ali said, “I have never been to the Sundarbans before.” We were impressed by the beauty of the forest while visiting with family on vacation. If I get a big holiday, I will come here again.
